Publishing
We offer two types of publishing, traditional and hybrid. We are not a publisher for hire. Hybrid contracts are only offered after careful manuscript review. We are committed to publishing only the highest quality material because, like you, we believe in sharing exceptional stories with the world.
We understand that quality books deserve nothing less than the best publishing services. This includes careful attention to print quality, skilled layout, and a stunning, authentic cover—crafted with creativity, not generated by artificial intelligence.

Publishing services may be offered after editing is finalized. We only publish professionally edited work.

MASTERFUL PERSON COMPANY EDITORIAL SERVICES

DEVELOPMENT PACKAGE
Developmental edits are ideal for unfinished manuscripts, outlines, or completed first draft manuscripts.
DETAIL
This package includes exclusive access to a dedicated editor for a full calendar year to brainstorm “big picture” elements such as structure, form, and book outlines, while developing the writer’s voice and style.
FINAL PRODUCT
You will have a completed manuscript ready to pitch, beta read, or copy edit.

CONTENT EDIT PACKAGE
This package is for a well-structured, completed fiction, nonfiction, or how-to manuscript
DETAIL
The Content Edit package includes three manuscript passes with complete draft notes on structure, characters, plot and style. The author gets three separate copy edits to detect typos, punctuation, grammar, misspellings, and other errors from three different people.
FINAL PRODUCT
The final product is a completed, layout-ready manuscript in Word, PDF and Pages, ready to pitch or publish.

COPY/LINE EDIT PACKAGE
The Copy Edit package is intended for a completed, fully edited manuscript. This is the last step before a book goes to print.

This package includes three sets of human eyes line editing for typos, punctuation, grammar, misspellings and other errors.
FINAL PRODUCT
The final product is a completed, layout-ready manuscript in Word, PDF, and Pages, ready to pitch or publish.

PUBLISHING PACKAGE
The Publishing Package is offered to fully edited manuscripts or previously published work looking for a new publisher home.
DETAIL
This is a complete publishing package that includes ISBNs, placement in the Masterful Person Company’s catalog for booksellers, use of the Masterful Person Company’s logo and the author’s name on published work in perpetuity, a Library of Congress Control Number from the Library of Congress, formatting of a copyright page, pricing advice, final barcode, formatting of copyright page, a marketing consultation and plan, and guidance in how to set up your author business. We will also teach you how to create and manage your distribution dashboards. Authors receive 100% of their royalties.

LAYOUT PACKAGE

The Layout Package includes the correct layout of the words on each page with or without illustrations.
FINAL PRODUCT
The final product are correctly formatted, print ready PDF/x 1a files for Ingram Spark, and standard PDFs for other printers.

TRADITIONAL PUBLISHING
Books selected for a traditional publishing contract will receive an offer after final edits are complete. Edits do not have to be completed using Masterful Person Company services. Traditional contracts will be selected from Hybrid submissions. Masterful Person Company currently publishes between 1-3 traditional titles per year.
